After 10 months of rigorous verification, Spanish beauty business 3INA has become the first global colour cosmetics brand to achieve B Corp certification.
Administered by nonprofit B Lab, B Corp is a certification that covers over 300 questions on governance, workers, communities and impact on the environment.
3INA joins the B Corp movement of over 8,342 companies globally and 2,644 companies in the UK. It also sits alongside a number of beauty businesses worldwide under the certification, including The Inkey List, Elemis and Aesop.
In its assessment, 3INA achieved an overall score of 86.3 “without having to adjust internal standards and processes”. To qualify, businesses must score 80 or over.
The brand’s work across ESG includes supporting social causes and reducing its carbon footprint, as well as championing traceability and providing Ethic & Compliance training to all employees, amongst other initiatives.
“We feel really honoured joining the community of just 8,263 B Corp companies worldwide that have been certified to benefit all stakeholders,” reads a statement from the brand.
“B Corp status is not a destination but another step in 3INA’s journey to ensure a positive impact in everything we do and keep improving our sustainable and social initiatives.”
Born in Spain in 2016, and with presence in more than 40 countries, 3INA is a Spanish makeup and skincare brand known for its colourful products and no-rules mentality. It launched in the UK in September 2022, exclusively at Superdrug.
