Mission

CEW is a professional organisation that promotes the British beauty industry, driving its dynamic growth in the global beauty economy.

Founded in 1954, CEW connects all corners of the beauty industry via its 10,500 members worldwide.

Our CEW member network spans brands, entrepreneurs, retailers, financiers, regulatory, recruitment, tech, formulation, manufacturing, legal, media houses, market research agencies, journalists, influencers, and other key stakeholders.

CEW’s ‘Member Mission’ centres on our core values of Education, Empowerment, Recognition and Philanthropy.

CEW’s day to day activities centre around supporting careers and businesses in the Beauty and associated industries to thrive and grow and we support this via all of our many activities and programmes throughout the year.

CEW – Where Beauty Comes to do Business

Education

CEW’s purpose is to provide comprehensive programmes that help to develop careers and knowledge of the beauty industry through a broad range of industry leader talks, trend reports, newsletters and mentoring events. More than just networking, CEW’s events present members with exclusive access to the beauty industry’s most influential decision makers and emerging talent.

Recognition

CEW supports and celebrates the achievements of the beauty industry, from the exceptional businesswomen and men within our sector, to the incredible product creativity we see each year. Our annual Achiever Awards, launched in 2003, recognise outstanding industry talent at all levels and contributions to the beauty industry at large. The CEW Beauty Awards, launch in 2006, recognise product innovation and the ‘best in class’ launches of the year, across multiple categories.

Philanthropy

Philanthropy has always been one of the core values of CEW – whether through the Cancer and Careers programme which was originally launched by CEW in the US, or via other organisations and charities, we are dedicated to supporting and improving the health of women in the UK.
Since 2010, CEW UK have been proud supporters of The Eve Appeal, helping to fund invaluable research into the five gynaecological cancers.
