This week, John Bell & Croyden welcomed 80 top-tier beauty editors and journalists to its highly anticipated 2024 Press Showcase. The event offered a unique opportunity for attendees to explore the latest beauty launches and engage directly with the John Bell & Croyden team about emerging trends in the industry.
A total of 32 brands were on display, including several UK exclusives that have either recently launched in-store or are set to debut in the coming months. The showcase allowed guests to meet with brand founders and John Bell & Croyden’s buyers, giving them insight into the rigorous selection process that ensures only the most innovative and high-quality products are featured in-store.
It was particularly exciting to see a number of CEW brands included in the mix, such as Rollr and To The Fairest, both of which were discovered through the CEW Mentoring Programme. Their presence at the showcase highlighted the continuous growth and success of CEW-backed brands within the beauty industry.
Here’s a closer look at a few standout brands from the event:
• Rollr: This innovative, sustainable brand offers a refillable roll-on, bringing a sophisticated, no-nonsense aesthetic to the market. Rollr’s founder worked alongside a multi-award-winning product designer to create a patent-pending, non-leak cradle and frictionless refillable rolling mechanism. Customers can choose from medical-grade stainless steel or gemstone Rollr balls in Rose Quartz, Green Aventurine, or Blue Dumortierite, each believed to offer wellness benefits ranging from mental clarity to healing and harmony.
• To The Fairest: Known for their unique fragrances, this brand draws inspiration from imagined landscapes, literature, and love. Their classical motif of [Kallistei]—inscribed on a golden apple in Greek mythology—celebrates beauty, knowledge, and power. The fragrances embody timeless elegance, with a narrative that places women as muses.
• Altesse Studio: Offering custom-made luxury hairbrushes, Altesse Studio has been meticulously handcrafting and assembling its products in France since 1875. The brushes, part of the Beauté and Prestige collections, use nylon fibres for detangling and boar bristles for styling and conditioning, making them perfect for elevating everyday hair care routines.
• Complice: This Swiss brand is the result of 45 years of research, combining natural, high-potency ingredients in a unique formula that promotes skin repair and rejuvenation. Complice’s products offer an anti-ageing miracle, backed by efficacy studies, and are made entirely in Switzerland, reflecting a commitment to quality, sustainability, and ethical practices.
The 2024 John Bell & Croyden Press Showcase was a resounding success, shining a spotlight on both established and emerging beauty brands. We look forward to seeing these innovative products take centre stage in the months to come.
