Debenhams has opened a flagship beauty store at Manchester Arndale centre to create a “fresh, modern, and unique” destination.
Boohoo Group, which acquired Debenhams’ online channels after the department store collapsed, said Debenhams has “harnessed its beloved heritage whilst rebranding its aesthetic”.
The launch of the Debenhams.com Beauty store is spread across two floors and covers a total area of 7552sq ft of retail space.
The store reflects the retailer’s new vision within its finish, and materials used to create this space, taking inspiration from high-end beauty and fragrances brands, that will be housed within.
Boohoo, a primarily digital business said it was essential that the store reflected that digital world, the interactive screens connect these two worlds, with real-time posting via social media platforms displayed immediately on them.
“We are delighted to be opening Debenhams.com Beauty store, within the Manchester Arndale, especially as this is the home of the Boohoo Group,” Debenhams.com homeware and beauty director, Jeanette Whithear said.
“It feels like an organic location for this exciting retail space, within the heart of the city.
“Since April we have reintroduced multiple brands to Debenhams.com as well as new ones, that have grown the offering for our customers.
“With the next step of Debenhams.com Beauty journey, I’m excited to see the cross over from our digital and physical elements come to life within the space as well as our range of brands increase dramatically into 2022.”
