CEW UK is pleased to announce its sponsorship of a student place on the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) Diploma in Cosmetic Science Course in 2022-23.
The CEW Caroline Neville Scholarship 2022 is part of CEW’s 30th anniversary celebrations and is in recognition of the huge contribution to supporting businesses and individuals across the beauty industry made by CEW Executive President Caroline Neville MBE over the past thirty years since launching CEW in the UK. Caroline is also Patron of The Eve Appeal’s Get Lippy campaign.
Education is one of the guiding principles of CEW UK and recognises CEW’s desire to support STEM subjects and encourage more women to join the world of cosmetic science.
The SCS Diploma in Cosmetic Science Course is written by experts in the industry and recognised by employers within the cosmetics science and personal care industry. It is a course delivered by distance learning, enabling students to study at their own pace, kick start their career path and improve their career aspirations. The SCS Diploma in Cosmetic Science Course is approved by the Royal Society of Chemistry for Training Purposes, and the CTPA supports the aims of the course. The SCS is an Associate Member of the Science Council and the Federation of Awarding Bodies.
How to apply?
CEW is inviting members to nominate someone they know (could be a relative, friend or other) to be the recipient of the sponsorship.
Students applying for the scholarship do not have to be a current CEW member.
The recipient would either be a final year student (either at University studying for a degree that is not related to cosmetic science or in the final year of studying Chemistry A-Level), or a CEW member whose current career is not directly in cosmetic science but the nominee really wants to get into New Product Development.
You can nominate yourself if this course would help you find your dream job!
Nominations and applications close on Friday 17th June, and CEW’s education team will review the applications in conjunction with the SCS and come back to the shortlist of chosen candidates.
The course begins in October 2022, and the recipient will be required to sign an agreement that they will complete the course.
