As the world’s fastest-growing beauty market, India is increasingly on the radar for British beauty exporters. With a population of 1.4 billion, a digital-first retail landscape and a strong appetite for international brands, the market presents significant opportunities for UK companies looking to expand globally.
The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is now recruiting UK beauty brands to exhibit on the UK stand at Cosmoprof India 2025, taking place in Mumbai from 2-6 December.
The opportunity is open to brands with an annual turnover of around £750,000 or more, a strong social media presence and a clear interest in entering the Indian market. Participants will gain access to a growing network of potential retail and distribution partners.
India’s beauty sector is increasingly shaped by online-first players such as Nykaa, Tira, Tata Cliq, Myntra and Amazon. DBT will provide support to help UK companies understand how to work with distributors and navigate the regulatory and commercial challenges of entering the market.
Now in its sixth year, Cosmoprof India continues to grow. The 2024 edition featured 345 companies, more than 700 brands, 57% international exhibitors, nine country and group pavilions, and over 11,000 visitors. Last year’s DBT UK delegation secured export deals worth £18 million.
