Diptyque is updating its candle offering with a refined vessel design, five new fragrances and a refill initiative aimed at extending product life and reducing environmental impact.
Developed in collaboration with designer Julie Richoz, the updated glass vessel retains the brand’s recognisable aesthetic but introduces softer contours and a subtle oval ridge to enhance light reflection. The signature monochrome label has also been refined with raised detailing and more pronounced typography, while still referencing the original design language of co-founder Desmond Knox-Leet.
The collection also expands with five new scents created by perfumers Alexandra Carlin and Olivia Giacobetti: Café, Ortie, Sésame Noir, Rhubarbe and Shiso. The fragrances continue Diptyque’s nature-led approach, ranging from roasted coffee and green herbal notes to sweet, tangy and spicy profiles.
From autumn 2026, the brand will introduce candle refills across ten core fragrances. The system is designed to encourage reuse of the glass vessel, with packaging made from recyclable paperfoam and a redesigned vessel that is around 10% lighter. Diptyque estimates that reusing the vessel could reduce carbon emissions by approximately 22%.
The update is complemented by new decorative accessories inspired by flame and light, including glass and porcelain candle holders, lids and matchboxes.
