Join us for the fifth event in our 2024 CEW Young Executive “Beauty Unlimited” Breakfast Event series on Wednesday, 7th August, when we will be in conversation with Danielle Close, Founder of My Skin Feels.
Part of the founding Charlotte Tilbury Beauty team, Danielle started her career as a makeup artist working with Team Tilbury backstage and directly with Charlotte to create her eponymous brand. After travelling the world with Tilbury and working with corporate beauty giants, celebrities, and brands, including Estee Lauder and Tom Ford, Danielle went on to explore the other side of the industry, working with brands such as ila Spa, Naturissimo and Content Beauty that focussed on natural ingredients, earth-friendly formulas, and purpose-led products that aligned with her values and beliefs.
Passionate about skincare as a way to incorporate daily self-care and with over 13 years of experience in the beauty and wellness industries, she understood how confusing, saturated, and negative they can be and felt it was time for a shakeup. She went on a mission to make products that focus on how they make you feel, all the while being as planet-friendly, people-friendly and skin-friendly as possible using rescued ingredients from the food and drink industries, including tomato ketchup, olive oil, breakfast oats and orange juice.
She believes beauty can do better, and sustainability shouldn’t be an afterthought. If she can create a brand that does better on her own, then there’s no excuse for the big corporate brands to ignore it any longer. My Skin Feels is here to make a difference, one face wash at a time.
