Hygiene poverty in the UK has reached a critical level. This year alone, Beauty Banks has seen a staggering 141% increase in demand for their support compared to last year, and this number continues to grow.
In June and July, Beauty Banks delivered essential hygiene supplies in bulk to 300 charities—including food banks, homeless shelters, and schools across the UK. That’s an 81% rise compared to the same period in 2023, driven solely by the overwhelming need. August, typically the toughest month due to the school holidays, is on track to surpass these figures.
So far, Beauty Banks has been able to assist every charity and school that comes to them. But to keep up with the rising demand, they urgently need more funding—and that’s where we need your help.
The STAY FRESH APPEAL aims to provide school-age children across the UK with the hygiene products they need during the summer break and the back-to-school period. They’re aiming to raise £20k, and so far, they have received £5,774 in donations.
How You Can Help: Contribute to their STAY FRESH APPEAL
- A £100 donation will allow us to provide 10 children with STAY FRESH WELLBEING Packs, which include enough hygiene products to last up to eight weeks.
- A £200 donation will support 20 children, and so on.
