Luxury fashion brand Jacquemus has entered the beauty market by signing a long-term, exclusive partnership with L’OrĂ©al.
This collaboration also involves an investment from L’OrĂ©al in the fashion label, supporting its ongoing independent growth. Founded by Simon Porte Jacquemus in 2009, the brand is known for its creative designs, including the viral Chiquito bag, and memorable fashion shows.
Although Jacquemus has always envisioned expanding into beauty, a previous attempt to partner with Puig was cancelled. With the new deal, Jacquemus aims to enhance its presence in the US, Europe, and Asia, with plans to expand into the beauty sector.
Simon Porte Jacquemus expressed his excitement, stating, “Fifteen years ago, I began dreaming of and creating Jacquemus, with perfume and beauty always part of my vision for the brand. Today, I am proud to continue shaping this dream with the leading beauty group, L’OrĂ©al. I’m excited to see what the future holds for us.”
L’OrĂ©al is enthusiastic about the collaboration, with Cyril Chapuy, President of L’OrĂ©al Luxe, noting, “Jacquemus will perfectly complement L’OrĂ©al Luxe’s portfolio of iconic brands and reinforce our worldwide leadership.”
