We are recruiting for a full-time Finance Officer, working alongside our accounting team. He/she/they will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, and conducting other tasks related to finance. He/She/They should be excellent at recording data and have an ability to produce clear financial reports.

Responsibilities:

Full bookkeeping support on a monthly / timely basis which consists of :

  • Process supplier payments.
  • Track and reconcile payments on Xero.
  • Main point of contact for accounts enquiries from staff, external clients and suppliers.
  • Support monthly payroll and keep organised records.
  • Provide support to Founder for reporting – budget, management accounts, year-end accounts and cashflow.
  • Participate in quarterly/annual audits.
  • Bank reconciliation of all bank accounts.
  • Credit card reconciliation (American express).
  • Raising sales invoices.
  • Dealing with foreign transactions.
  • Reconciling different payment methods and allocating to the correct country and making sure all sales invoices posted correctly on XERO (either 20% or zero rated depending if UK or other).
  • Inputting supplier invoices (ready for the IOSS reporting).
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Ensuring correct nominal codes are used for each and every transaction.
  • Ensuring intercompany balances agree.
  • Manage monthly budgeting and sales reports.

Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of Xero essential.
  • Book keeping / accounting qualification.
  • 4 + years previous bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Intermediate plus skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous payroll experience desirable.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
  • Deadline driven; able to prioritise tasks effectively.
