Job Title: Senior Brand ManagerContract Type: PermanentStart Date: ASAPReports to: Director of Brand and MarketingLocation:Hybrid model home/office, with presence in London office 2/3 days a week

We are looking for a passionate Senior Brand Development Manager to join the INKEY family. Someone with a commercial, strategic, consumer-first approach that thrives in a fast paced, agile environment.

 

Primary Purpose: Working with the Brand Director to shape the brands future plans, with a specific focus on commercial portfolio management, strengthening & accelerating the brands intention, growth & the innovation pipeline.

The role manages two BM’s and one JBM who have ownership of categories within the portfolio, inclusive of core, innovation, sets, samples etc The SBMs role is to oversee the team, guiding and ensuring all plans ladder up to total brand and portfolio strategy and aligning with the Brand Director. You will be reporting on portfolio performance and helping to shape plans to ensure our core SKUs are in growth, and our NPD is achieving its targets, by building effective plans with our regional teams

 

The SBM is also responsible for ownership of wider projects and cross category portfolio management including pricing, discontinuations, packaging updates and others.

A key role in a central function, cross functional collaboration, strong working relationships and stakeholder management are a key part of the role. Being a brand guardian and leading cross-functional collaboration to ensure that plans align to global brand strategy while also best supporting regional needs for growth is key. This role partners closely with the Product Development, Global Marketing, Sales & Creative teams to drive Brand Strategy across all touchpoints.

 

Note: The Brand Development teams develops product concepts, positioning and briefs, however execution of go-to-market plans are delivered through the consumer activation team (Both teams sit within a global marketing function)

 

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Portfolio:

Ownership of reporting on total portfolio performance, ensuring plans are built to grow our core SKUsSet projections for key focus categories that will grow the businessOverseer of all projects managed by the Brand Dev team, ensuring all delivered on time, with clear communication to the Brand Director and key stakeholders in the businessUse insight, consumer and commercial acumen to propose pipeline of NPD to grow the brandSupport the team in owning their categories/areas of the total brand plan – including: category ownership, strategy rollout, commercial tracking, portfolio planning, NPD projectsLead the ongoing management of the current brand portfolio, including building the range architecture in partnership with BDIdentify key needs and gaps in portfolio – from inception to ideation and conceptOversee all NPD projects as key escalation point for brand team as well as ensuring all projects are kept on time & any hurdles overcome accordingly.Manage all portfolio wide projects; packaging updates, discontinuations, pricing

Brand Strategy:

Oversee total Brand Strategy rollout for 1-2 years in partnership with the Brand DirectorOwn brand performance tracking, diagnostics & recommend corrective action plan to Brand Director (e.g. equity, awareness growth)Ensuring we remain consumer first in everything that we do, being clear on ‘who, what and where’Work with the insights team to develop strong actionable insights to drive relevance with consumersGo to contact for commercial and sales teams – considering regional insights into the wider global planCoordinating Internal Sales Team meetings to equip them with the knowledge of the strategy & brand calendar to support their conversations with Retailers.Encourage cross-functional collaboration & partnership to embed the INKEY Strategy across every touchpointIdentify and maintain brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints, ensuring that messaging and visuals align with the brand’s core values and positioning.Own brand-wide projects, such as packaging refreshes, partnering with category owners for insights
