With many consumers feeling overwhelmed by the vast number of beauty products on the market, L’Oréal Paris has launched Beauty Genius – an AI-powered personal assistant designed to simplify the process of finding the right skincare, haircare, makeup and hair colour solutions.
Available 24/7 via smartphone, Beauty Genius uses generative AI, augmented reality, computer vision and colour science to offer personalised beauty guidance. Drawing from L’Oréal Paris’s extensive database – including product information, clinical studies, ingredient insights and social media content – the tool delivers tailored diagnostics, recommendations and educational content.
Users can receive personalised skincare analysis based on selfies and questionnaire responses, get routine suggestions from a catalogue of over 750 products, and privately ask beauty-related questions, including those on sensitive topics such as skin conditions or hair loss.
Combining advanced technology with L’Oréal Paris’s brand expertise, Beauty Genius aims to offer a seamless, accessible and supportive experience. A WhatsApp version is planned for release in 2026.
