Lush opens new Covent Garden flagship with second London spa
23 August 2024
Lush has opened the doors to its new flagship store in London’s Covent Garden, marking its return to the city’s West End after more than a decade. The bath bomb specialist opened the space as a festive pop-up last Christmas and unveiled its permanent store and spa on Friday.
The 2475 sq ft space at 12-14 Long Acre is stocked with Lush’s hair care, skin and body care including a curated collection of previously discontinued products from the archives.
Customers can also browse the brand’s selection of bath bombs, reusable Knot Wraps, and fresh flowers from the in-store florist.
Below the retail space is the Lush Spa, featuring three single treatment rooms and one double room. The Lush Spa concept was launched in 2009. With 19 locations around the world, Covent Garden is the second London location for the Lush Spa – joining the spa on Oxford Street, which opened in 2015. Six spa therapists provide various treatments, including the newly introduced Scottish-themed hot stone massage, The Highlands, a hot chocolate-scented full-body scrub, The Comforter, and a face, ear, and scalp massage known as The Sound Bath.
Lush first introduced its Spa concept in 2009, and Covent Garden is its second London location, complementing its Oxford Street store, which opened in 2015. Since its founding in 1995, Lush has been driven by innovation and strong ethical principles. Renowned for creating groundbreaking beauty products, one of the brand’s most famous inventions is the bath bomb.
The bath bomb, created in 1989 by Lush Co-founder Mo Constantine in her garden shed, has since become a global phenomenon. Hand-pressed at the brand’s manufacturing sites worldwide, Lush sold over 21.2 million bath bombs last year.
Today, Lush operates in 50 countries with over 850 shops, 38 websites that ship globally, and a vast network of native apps, broadcasting channels, and digital communities in more than 30 languages.
