Marks & Spencer has returned to Bristol city centre with the opening of a new 80,000 sq ft flagship store at Cabot Circus. The multi-million-pound investment has created more than 150 jobs and brings together the best of M&S Food, Fashion, Home and Beauty across three floors.
Food, Fashion, Home & Beauty Under One Roof
The lower ground floor features a fresh, market-style Foodhall with produce from M&S’ Select Farm partners – including more than 1,200 in the South West – alongside an in-store bakery, Hot Chicken counter and Mai Sushi. A new 200-seat Coffee Shop also offers a full menu, including festive additions such as the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap.
Across two fashion floors, the store includes M&S’ largest in-store beauty offer to date, spanning almost 3,000 sq ft. Customers can browse M&S brands such as Apothecary and Fresh Elements, as well as selected third-party lines including Estée Lauder and Clinique. Womenswear features the latest Jaeger collection and a wide selection of party pieces, with Kidswear and Home also well represented. The upper level houses Autograph menswear and tailoring.

A Significant Investment in the Region
The Cabot Circus opening is one of more than 20 new or renewed M&S stores launching this financial year, with another full-line flagship set to open in Bath Southgate early next year. The store was officially unveiled yesterday morning, drawing queues from 7:30am.
Ali Ivery, Regional Manager at M&S, said:
“It’s fantastic to be making such a significant investment in the city and the opening has created over 150 new jobs. We have a great supplier base here and work with over 1,200 Select Farm partners across the region. Our focus now is on delivering trusted value, unbeatable quality and that touch of M&S magic for customers in the run up to Christmas and beyond.”
Paul O’Brien, Director at Hammerson, added:
“As the number one most requested brand by our customers, we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome M&S back into the heart of Bristol. With queues of customers snaking around Cabot Circus, we know this retail giant will be a major boost to the destination and the city more generally.”
