Percy & Reed this week announced the launch of their latest fine fragrance, Royal Blossom, created in collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces. The new fragrance, created by the brand’s renowned UK fragrance house, takes inspiration from London’s Kensington Palace. Each fragrance note has a story to tell, tying into the Language of Flowers and the botanicals found in the palace gardens.
“We have always put fine fragrance into every formula we make at Percy & Reed, because for us it is important that the hair smells as beautiful as it looks. We’ve loved collaborating with Historic Royal Palaces to create this new fine fragrance inspired by Kensington Palace. It really captures our London heritage and history, especially as the use of perfume and fragrance in the hair began centuries ago. The new fragrance includes notes of sweet British honey, floral orange blossom and woody English oak. Orange blossom holds a special significance for Royal weddings as in 1840, Queen Victoria broke with tradition and chose to wear a simple floral crown of orange blossom on her wedding day to Prince Albert: ‘Had my hair dressed & the wreath of orange flowers put on my head’. From this point onwards, Orange Blossom became the flower of Royal Weddings and continues to hold this significance today.
The collaboration with Historical Royal Palaces also celebrates the 10th anniversary of Wonder Balm Hair Primer, which has now sold over 1 million worldwide, as well as the brand’s London home and British made formulas.
