Sephora has opened the doors to its first UK store outside of London in Manchester’s Trafford Centre, their third location in the UK.
The 500sqm outlet will offer more than 125 brands across cosmetics, fragrance and skincare, including Sephora exclusives Glossier, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, Makeup By Mario, GXVE Beauty, One/Size Beauty and more. The Trafford Centre store also stocks in-store exclusive brands such as Tatcha, Glow Recipe, Danessa Myricks Beauty , Glow Hub and Coco Cosmetics as well as new to Sephora brands including Adwoa Beauty, Relevant, Straand, Salt & Stone and Naked Sundays.
The store also features a ‘Beauty Hub’ at the heart of the store, offering a range of beauty services and treatments performed by in-house experts, as well as categorised areas and curated product displays. Services include the Benefit Brow Bar for eyebrow treatments, and personalised fragrance engraving.
Sarah Boyd, Managing Director for Sephora UK, said: “We are extremely excited to bring Sephora to Manchester, one of the most vibrant cities for beauty in the UK.
“Expanding our presence beyond London is something that consumers have been screaming out for, and we are listening hard to them when deciding where to go next!
“The Trafford Centre, known for its iconic atmosphere and diverse retail offering, is the perfect location for our third store.”
The retailer returned to the UK after 18 years in 2023 with the opening of its first London location in Westfield White City. This was followed by a second store in the Stratford Westfield shopping centre in November 2023. The opening demonstrates Sephora’s commitment to bringing its offer to diverse communities across the UK, recognising the “pivotal role” that major regional cities like Manchester play in shaping and influencing the beauty industry landscape. The new location was selected following an influx of requests and enthusiasm across the retailer’s social media platforms, with Manchester emerging as the top city requested by its followers.
Sephora is set to expand its presence across the UK, with two more stores set to open in the North East, including at the Metrocentre in Gateshead and Newcastle’s Eldon Square later this year.
