Pioneering for over 150 years, Shiseido shows no sign of stalling as we transition into a world of WEB3 experiences. This February 2023 marks another first to market from the beauty thought leader, with the launch of the first-ever NFT based community programme – #AliveWithBeauty.
In a global first for the beauty industry, Shiseido has launched a community programme with a collection of NFT membership tokens, that have been co-created with AI and five inspirational female pioneers. To celebrate 150 years of the brand’s innovation, Shiseido have created 150 NFTs, with each edition featuring their Japanese Camellia shape as the base form. The design was co-created using pioneer-inspired words that reflect what beauty and the future of web3 means to them which then informed AI technology. The AI-generated designs were finalised with a human touch by creative agency CULT. 5 editions of the exclusive token will first go to these founding Pioneers, and 145 editions are open to be won by the brand’s community via a sweepstake. Initially, the NFT will unlock a series of exclusive rewards to give back to its long-standing community, this includes: up to £1000 worth of skincare and samples throughout the year, tickets to online and offline events, access to exclusive content and other rewards available only to token holders will come as the programme develops.
