This week Prime Minister, Boris Johnson announced a 4-step roadmap for easing lockdown restrictions. Step 2, which could begin from mid-April, includes the reopening of personal care businesses, hair and beauty salons and spas across the UK.
Following this announcement, booking platform Treatwell has reported a 432% spike in bookings with these 5 top requested appointments:
- Haircuts and Hairdressing
- Hollywood Wax
- Two Week Manicure
- Hair Colouring
- Men’s Haircut
Treatwell reported that the most booked appointments so far are hair treatments at 47%, followed by face treatments at 18%, hair removal also at 18%, followed by nail treatments at 9% and finally massage treatments saw 8% of bookings. Within this Treatwell confirmed they have seen a significant increase in balayage bookings ‘steep increase’ for a full head of highlights.
