St.Tropez has introduced two new mousse-based tanning products for March 2026, expanding its portfolio with both a rapid-developing self-tan and a wash-off instant bronzer. The launches Express Dark Whipped Mousse and Instant Glow Body Bronzing Mousse – aim to address different consumer needs, from long-lasting colour to immediate, temporary radiance.

The Express Dark Whipped Mousse is positioned as the brand’s fastest-developing and darkest express tan to date. Designed for users seeking quick results without extended development time, the formula delivers a fully developed dark tan in three hours. According to the brand, this distinguishes it from other express products that may continue developing after rinsing.
The formulation combines DHA and erythrulose with penetration enhancers to accelerate colour development. The product is described as “science-backed,” with claims that it produces a darker result compared to the brand’s existing Express Self Tan Mousse. In consumer trials, 87% of users confirmed a “flawless, natural-looking dark tan,” while 93% said their skin looked “glowing and radiant,” and 91% would recommend the product.
Texture and ease of use are key features. The whipped mousse format is designed to glide on easily, dry quickly, and provide a tinted guide colour for application. This is intended to reduce user error and make the product accessible to beginners. One user noted:
“Best fake tan I’ve ever used. Easy application, dried down in seconds and didn’t leave me sticky.”
Another added:
“The texture is really smooth, it’s super easy to apply and the colour is nice and dark but natural.”
The formula also includes hyaluronic acid and vitamin E for hydration and has been dermatologically tested for sensitive skin. Fragrance technology is another focus, with malodour neutralisation targeting the typical self-tan scent. The fragrance profile combines notes such as bergamot, lavender, jasmine and musk for a “fresh, floral and softly woody” finish.
Alongside this, St.Tropez has launched the Instant Glow Body Bronzing Mousse, a wash-off product designed for immediate results with no development time. Unlike the Express formula, this product provides instant colour that lasts طوال the day and can be rinsed off completely.
The Instant Glow mousse focuses on skin-perfecting effects, including tone evening and blurring imperfections. It also uses a whipped mousse texture for fast, even application and quick drying, with no sticky residue. In consumer trials, 97% of users achieved an instant tan, while 94% reported a glowing finish lasting طوال the day and 93% said the product felt weightless.
User feedback highlighted its performance and wear:

The formula contains vitamin E and hyaluronic acid for hydration and features a tropical fragrance blend, including bergamot, pineapple, coconut milk, peach, vanilla cream and sandalwood. The product is also positioned as versatile, suitable for use alone or layered over an existing tan. In trials, 88% of users said they would wear it both ways, and 89% considered it effective for topping up colour.
Both products utilise whipped mousse technology, which the brand emphasises as improving application control and finish. The lightweight, airy structure is designed to spread and reduce streaking, making both products suitable for a wide range of users.
The two launches reflect a dual approach: one targeting longer-lasting, developed colour with a shortened wait time, and the other offering immediate, temporary results for flexibility and convenience. Both products will be available from March 2026 through major UK retailers including Boots and Superdrug, with the Express Dark Whipped Mousse priced at £37 and the Instant Glow Body Bronzing Mousse at £25.
