Benefit Cosmetics have announced the launch of the AI-powered Pore Analysis Tool in partnership with Perfect Corp., the leading augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) beauty and fashion tech solutions provider.
P.A.T is an AI-powered digital tool that detects and analyses your pores in real time, live scans pore diagnostics, provides personalised pore education, and interactive pinch-to-zoom capability to see pores close up. Benefit previously partnered with Perfect Corp. in 2018 to develop a virtual Brow Try-On for customers to explore all kinds of different brow shapes and styles. With over 1 million customers testing out new brow looks and spending more than 125,000 hours they identified that customers want this kind of accessible and engaging technology at their own hands.
“We are so excited to continue our partnership with Benefit Cosmetics, this time to provide an innovative technology solution for digital pore-detecting and skin analysing. The custom development of AI-tech paired with Benefit’s P.A.T. gives people everywhere the chance to take a proactive approach to their skin health, learning about their pores and getting personalised product recommendations in a fun and convenient way.” said Alice H. Chang, Founder and CEO of Perfect Corp.
Customers will now have the latest in digital pore-detecting technology available to them on their smart phone. The device’s camera then scans a customer’s face and pores in real time, instantly measuring individual levels and degree of concern for clogged pores, pore size, and uneven texture. Next up are the results, which explain the potential causes of each concern and provide personal product recommendations based on the customer’s primary pore concern.
Toto Haba, SVP of Omnichannel Marketing at Benefit Cosmetics commented: “Whether it’s through innovative and digital AI technology like P.A.T., in-person consultations and services from our trained aestheticians, or through our high-performing products, we are laser-focused on providing customers with the right approaches to solving their pore challenges.”
