Boots has announced that it has expanded its partnership with takeaway and delivery service Deliveroo to 125 stores across the UK, giving customers on-demand access to more than 750 health and beauty products.
Following trials across 14 stores last year, customers in major UK cities including Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast, Bristol, Sheffield, York and Aberdeen can now have products delivered to their doors via the Deliveroo app.
The product offering has also been expanded, with bestsellers from the likes of Maybelline, Paco Rabanne and Dior joining The Inkey List, No7 and CeraVe to total more than 750 products across cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, toiletries, gift sets and more.
“We’re so excited to be able to extend our partnership with Deliveroo and offer this service in more cities across the UK,” said Paula Bobbett, Chief Digital Officer at Boots. “The original trial in 14 stores was a huge success and gave us the opportunity to learn very quickly what our customers want from a rapid delivery service….Now as we expand to 125 stores across the UK, we can be sure the products available on the service are well matched to customer needs.”
Carlo Mocci, Chief Business Officer, UK&I, Deliveroo, said: “Deliveroo continues to bring greater choice and availability to people across the UK, with everything from suntan lotion to cold and flu symptom relief products, or fruit and veg from your local supermarket to a Friday night treat from your local restaurant. Boots is a fantastic partner for Deliveroo and hugely valued by our customers.”
The partnership is part of Boots’ continued investment in its digital capabilities to offer customers a more convenient and personalised shopping experience, making health and beauty products more accessible ahead of the winter months where mild illness is more common. It follows the retailer’s price freeze on 15,000 of its own-brand products in the UK to help customers deal with the current cost of living crisis.
