Founded in 2000 and led by Mrs Mira Kulkarni, who was driven by a desire to create the most effective products derived from Ayurveda, Forest Essentials has had a pioneering approach and sustainable outlook since its inception, applying practices that respect both the environment and community in every sense.
Since being discovered by Leonard Lauder – whilst in India for Liz Hurley’s wedding – Forest Essentials has worked in conjunction with Estée Lauder Companies as its strategic partner to drive commercial success and expansion globally.
The cornerstone and an inherent part of Forest Essentials’ DNA has been to give back to nature what is taken from it, the very premise of Ayurveda. Careful consideration is given to ingredient selection and packaging throughout the entire product cycle to fundamentally reduce environmental impact and contribute to society.
Over the last 20 years, the brand has been a pioneer in creating the luxury Ayurveda segment, harnessing the secrets of ancient beauty rituals to create the finest-quality skincare, haircare and make-up products.
Today, the brand is a key player in Indian hotels and spas groups, present in over 400 of the most prominent hospitality chains, including the prestigious Taj and Oberoi hotel groups, providing bespoke in-room amenities and treatments.
The name “Forest Essentials” comes from the fact the ingredients within all products are sourced from plants, trees and herbs naturally grown in the Himalayan forests. Forest Essentials cater to five major categories of products: Facial Care, Body Care, Hair Care, Wellness & Natural Make-up. Each handmade product uses traditional methods and adheres to the highest standards of purity, authenticity, and quality. There is a perfect fusion between ancient recipes and modern technology to create a whole new experience — Elegant, Luxurious Ayurveda.
