Second Plastic Free Beauty Day Takes Place

Earlier on this week, the second annual Plastic Free Beauty Day took place, which was established by CEW member, Yolanda Cooper, Founder and CEO of haircare brand We are Paradoxx.

Yolanda established Plastic Free Beauty Day on 17th June 2019 to highlight the catastrophic impact of the beauty industry’s over-dependence on plastic, to inform consumers how they can reduce their use of plastic, to challenge others in the beauty industry to review their use of plastic, and highlight the the impact of plastic created and distributed by the beauty industry as a whole. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a surge in plastic production that looks set to continue so this is more important than ever before in 2020.
