On 26th May CEW took part in a webinar hosted by the CTPA “Simplifying Brexit: Practical Advice for Small Businesses.” The webinar intended to provide the necessary information for small and medium businesses, covering crucial aspects of Brexit preparedness to ensure their business can continue to run as smoothly as possible. At the end of the webinar, CEW joined a panel discussion with the British Beauty Council to inform attendees about the support they have been providing businesses and also look to address some of the key concerns that their members might have.
In the first part of the webinar, the CTPA provided an update of the current political situation and the Brexit negotiations, explaining all the possible scenarios that can occur at the end of the Brexit transition period (31st December 2020). They then provided a simple explanation on what the UK Cosmetics Regulation is expected to be, highlighting the key actions businesses shall take to ensure compliance and continue to sell product on the UK market.
The second session of the webinar involved a panel discussion with Sallie Berkerey, Managing Director of CEW and Millie Kendall, CEO of the British Beauty Council to give an overview of the support given to their members and address the key challenges our members are facing.
