ELLA K has unveiled MYRRH K, the latest fragrance to join its K Collection. Created by founder and master perfumer Sonia Constant, the scent is inspired by her travels through Oman, capturing memories of sunrise over the mountains alongside the aromas of sesame, resin, sugar and myrrh.
The fragrance opens with floral notes including Omani jasmine, frangipani and rose from Jebel Akhdar, before developing into a heart featuring roasted almond, toasted sesame, Omani halwa, dates and sugar accords. Base notes include soft myrrh, roasted tonka bean, Madagascan vanilla and Omani cedarwood.
Several ingredients were developed using Givaudan’s Scent Trek™ technology, a nature-conscious extraction process that allows perfumers to recreate scents found in nature without harvesting the original source.
Commenting on the launch, Constant said: “I wanted to create a fragrance that captures the delicate balance between offering and receiving, between resin and skin. I blended sacred halwa, golden sesame and roasted tonka bean to create a caressing, almost tactile fragrance that elevates as much as it embraces.”
MYRRH K is available at Harvey Nichols and retails at £254 for a 100ml Eau de Parfum.
