In September 2021, CEW UK proudly became an ally of the Unstereotype Alliance, convened by UN Women. Simply put, the Unstereotype Alliance is a thought and action platform to eradicate harmful stereotypes in media and advertising content. With a shared vision of an Unstereotyped world, members and allies are committed to using advertising as a force for good. It is a global alliance with 217 members globally, the UK chapter being the biggest.
In this webinar we aim to explain why CEW has joined as an ally, what that means to members and why eradicating harmful stereotypes is good for both society and business. We will be joined by Melda Simon, UK Lead for the Unstereotype Alliance, who has first-hand knowledge of the work having been involved in the launch whilst working at Unilever. Melda will share the ambitions for 2022 and how CEW members can help to eradicate harmful stereotypes within the beauty and wellbeing sector.
