Marc Jacobs Beauty has expanded its UK retail footprint through a new partnership with Selfridges, marking another milestone in the brand’s highly anticipated return to the beauty market.
The cosmetics line, which ceased operations in 2021, officially relaunched earlier this year under a collaboration between Marc Jacobs and Coty. The comeback introduces a new generation of makeup products while drawing on the brand’s reputation for bold colour, high-performance formulas and distinctive design.

The collection became available at Selfridges on 1 June as an exclusive UK department store launch. Customers can shop a curated assortment of eye, lip and complexion products, including eyeliners, eyeshadows, lipsticks, bronzers, blush sticks, highlighters and mascara. Selfridges has positioned the range around expressive colour, long-wearing formulas and collectable packaging. According to Coty, the new Marc Jacobs Beauty line has been created to celebrate creativity, individuality and self-expression. The relaunch embraces a more maximalist approach to makeup, arriving at a time when consumers are increasingly showing interest in bold colour cosmetics and statement beauty looks. This positioning differentiates the brand from the minimalist trends that have dominated parts of the beauty market in recent years. The assortment features redesigned packaging created under Marc Jacobs’ direction, incorporating signature motifs such as stars, hearts and daisies across different product categories.
The Selfridges launch is particularly significant because it places Marc Jacobs Beauty within one of the UK’s most prominent luxury retail environments. As a destination known for introducing premium beauty brands and innovative product concepts, Selfridges provides the collection with access to a highly engaged customer base and strong visibility within the competitive prestige beauty sector.
The retailer’s beauty offering has continued to evolve in recent years, with an increasing focus on exclusive launches, experiential retail and emerging luxury brands. The addition of Marc Jacobs Beauty aligns with this strategy and further strengthens Selfridges’ position as a key destination for premium cosmetics shoppers.
