Molton Brown has announced the release of its Botanical Hair Care Collection for the Hotel channel as part of the British fragrance makers’ ongoing mission to deliver positive and mindful luxury for hotel partners.
Today, hotel guests recognise a true luxury experience must have sustainable and ethical production at its heart. This belief that luxury and sustainability must always go hand in hand has also been a core part of Molton Brown’s philosophy since the brand’s beginnings in its original Mayfair salon in the 1970s.
Now, more than 50 years later, that mindset is still central to the creation of all Molton Brown collections. The Botanical Hair Care Collection continues this and is being introduced to the hotel sector to build on its success with customers in the domestic and travel retail markets. The range brings together modern sustainable ingredients and innovative technology, with the forward-thinking, holistic approach of the brand’s pioneering founders who delivered hair styling with a conscious care for the environment. Those original collections rejected the typical chemical formulas of the 1970s and featured English herbs, natural beauty and an “individual first” ethos at their heart.
For this new release in the hotel channel, the Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner are enriched with sustainably sourced Camomile. As an homage to the brand’s London home, the herbs used are grown in once-abandoned London Underground tunnels, using remarkable hydroponic systems and LED technology. This means they’re produced year-round in a controlled, pesticide-free environment, unaffected by weather and seasons. Using 70% less water than a traditional farm, this method keeps all nutrients in a closed loop system to reduce agricultural runoff.
The Hydrating Shampoo with Camomile and Hydrating Conditioner with Camomile will be launched in the hotel sector to provide a salon-grade formula and sustainable expression of quintessentially British luxury for hotel guests.
As a heartfelt nod to Molton Brown’s artisan origins, the collection is presented in bottles featuring a charming illustration of the unique herbs which enrich the product. They’re made from 50% post-consumer recycled plastic and are recyclable, helping to reduce virgin materials.
Simon James, General Manager EMEA, Molton Brown said: “Sustainability has been a vital parts of the Molton Brown mindset and ideals since the very beginning. Today we are proud to continue the ground-breaking work of our founders with new and innovative collections which push the boundaries of sustainable production and set us apart as a heritage British brand producing luxury with a conscious care for the world.
“With this new Botanical Hair Care Collection, we are delighted to offer our hotel partners and their guests another opportunity to weave a natural and sustainable approach into a premium and relaxing hotel experience.
