TikTok Shop has introduced a new logistics programme named Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) within the United Kingdom, streamlining the selling process for merchants on the platform.
Through this programme, TikTok Shop takes on the responsibility of handling various aspects of logistics, including storing, selecting, packing, and delivering products on behalf of the merchants to the TikTok community. This initiative is strategically designed to relieve merchants from the the burden of intricate logistics.
FBT ensures speedy fulfillment for all orders placed before 7 p.m. from Monday to Saturday are subject to automated fulfillment, guaranteeing same-day dispatch. Additionally, there’s an option is available for merchants to opt for a premium delivery service that ensures next working day delivery.
Merchants wishing to participate must have a UK base and allocate a portion of their inventory to be housed in a warehouse. TikTok Shop enforces fees for warehousing, shipping, and supplementary services such as labeling, pre-packing, and including promotional materials. Notably, smaller independent businesses have experienced substantial benefits from this initiative, reporting a notable 30% surge in sales volume, a commendable 36% reduction in shipping lead times, and a remarkable decrease of over 45% in late dispatch rates.
